I was hired in Kunskapsskolan as a Nursery Teacher. I had no teaching experience as I was froma corporatebackground. Initially it was a challenging for me but by 2014 I hadbecome grade 1 Class teacher. My hard work paid off and in 2015 I was promoted as a Team leader for grades 1-5 andremained the Class teacher for grade 2. Last year I was asked to take over the senior most class of my school (grade9) as the class teacher along with being a Team lead. My profile included developing the Timetable for the entire school, overseeing the hiring process and also involved with the deployment. Now I have been promoted as the Co-Ordinator across grades 1-10. I am also the class Teacher for grade10. My journey has been full of excitement, wherein I have learnt at every step.

Going through the 3EP course was a life changing experience as it propelled me into transforming my passion into a career option.

The 3EP course was an eye opener. It changed my view on traditional method of teaching to a more practical and experiential one. It introduced me to the theoretical framework of my intuitive understanding and experience of life. The course has not only developed my skills but my personality as well. I am now a more confident, social and independent person. I have learnt to deal with confident and difficult situations along with other skills such as-

Working on the computers is no longer rocket science.
Presentation skills before an audience.

After years of working as a programmer I was looking for a change. I had always wanted to work with children but did not see myself as a teacher and did not want to let go of my engineering background.

With nothing to lose, I decided to go meet the teachers conducting the course. The skepticism soon changed to excitement about joining 3E.P., initially because of the warmth the facilitators exuded. The course was a game changer for me. I had never been exposed to psychology and the subject totally gripped me. I felt I could understand childrenbetter.

Lesson planning was a huge eye opener and even today, I cannot imagine walking into a classroom without having done my homework with very clear outcomes. It suddenly made things a lot more systematic and logical. Initially, I would even put in some of the exact lines I would say at key moments. Whenever I am in front of large audiences, I not only make a lesson plan and learn it, but even write down my script. But the biggest thing that 3EPgave me was confidence - that it's ok to think out of the box.The teachers empowered me to go out there and explore with my students.

Today, I am a consultant for schools and host workshops with children or teachers every day of the week. I also train master trainees of DAV schools, pan India for grade 9 to 12th on how to teach science.

I am humbled that the Asset talent search program has invited me this summer to host a 3 weeklong program for gifted children.

3EP has been a learning experience for me, helping both in my personal as well as professional life. My leap from housewife to my first job happened thanks to this welcoming institution that has lent me beautiful memories and important learnings. It has boosted my confidence and aided me with my presentation skills as well. Apart from that, it has been an overall personality developing experience for me where I also learnt to create resources. Understanding the curriculum, making TLMs, learning basics of computer- all these are just some of the many things I have gathered in my extraordinary time here.
